SAIvoc Privacy Policy

SAIvoc (“the App”) is developed and provided by PostAI Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how SAIvoc accesses, processes, stores, and shares information when you use the App.

1. Information We Process

SAIvoc can be used without signing in. Some features allow optional Google account authentication.

• Google account information. If you choose to sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication may process your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile information provided by Google.
• Microphone audio. AI Teacher uses microphone audio when you start a voice conversation. Audio is transmitted to Google Gemini services to provide speech recognition, conversation, and AI-generated voice responses.
• Conversation text. AI Teacher conversations and selected phrases may be processed by Google Gemini services for responses, corrections, explanations, or translations. Conversation history may also be stored locally on your device.
• Camera and images. Snap & Learn allows you to take a photo or select an image. A selected image or cropped portion may be sent to Google Gemini services for image recognition. Photos you associate with vocabulary words may be stored locally on your device.
• Vocabulary and learning data. Words, translations, progress, statistics, settings, and similar educational data may be stored locally on your device. If you sign in, your personal dictionary (words, translations, examples, learning progress and any image address saved with a word) is also backed up to your account in Google Cloud Firestore, so it can be restored on your devices. Vocabulary you added before signing in is included in that backup once you sign in for the first time on that device.
• Translation requests. Certain translation requests may be sent to services such as MyMemory.
• Image search requests. Search terms may be sent to Pixabay to retrieve relevant images.

2. How We Use Information

Information is processed only as necessary to provide App functionality, including authentication, AI Teacher conversations, image recognition, translations, vocabulary examples, learning progress, conversation history, settings, and reliability. SAIvoc does not sell personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase Authentication — Google Sign-In and authentication;
• Google Cloud Firestore — cloud backup of your personal dictionary while you are signed in;
• Google Gemini API / Gemini Live — AI conversations, audio processing, phrase analysis, and image recognition;
• Pixabay — image search;
• MyMemory — translation services;
• Google Play services — Android and Google Play platform functionality.

Information processed by third-party providers is also subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

4. Camera and Microphone Permissions

Camera access is used for Snap & Learn and related photo features. Microphone access is used for AI Teacher voice conversations. These permissions can be denied or revoked through Android system settings.

5. Local Data Storage

Vocabulary, learning statistics, conversation history, selected images, settings, and other App data may be stored locally on your device until you remove it, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. AI Teacher conversation history, learning statistics, saved photo files and App settings stay on your device and are not uploaded; your personal dictionary is the one exception, as it is also backed up to your account while you are signed in (see section 1).

6. Data Transmission and Security

SAIvoc uses secure HTTPS/TLS connections when communicating with supported online services. No electronic transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

Locally stored data is retained until removed by the user, App storage is cleared, or the App is uninstalled. Authentication-related account data may remain in Firebase Authentication until the account is deleted. Information sent to third-party services may be retained according to those providers' applicable policies and terms.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their SAIvoc account and associated account data. See the SAIvoc Account & Data Deletion page for instructions, which covers both deleting your account inside the App and requesting deletion by email.

Data stored only locally on your device can be removed by clearing SAIvoc's storage or uninstalling the App.

9. Children's Privacy

SAIvoc is a general language-learning application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children under the minimum age required to independently consent to online services in their jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App functionality, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this page.
